BeeMindfulKidsYoga works to bring the love of creative movement and mindfulness to children of all abilities ages 4-12! The ebook works to capture the importance of yoga and mindfulness for children and how this transcends into academics in the classroom, respect in the household, and community.

As a child, I faced immense amounts of anxiety and found a kids yoga class around age 11 that helped bridge the gap between healthy coping skills and anxious thoughts. Fast forward to my college years, I worked with a K-8 school in Connecticut to implement RULER, a systematic approach to Social-Emotional Learning, developed at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. This soon transitioned to getting my certification in kids yoga and creating BeeMindfuliving!

Yoga improves balance, strength, endurance, and aerobic capacity in children. Yoga and mindfulness offer psychological benefits for children as well. A growing body of research has already shown that yoga can improve focus, memory, self-esteem, academic performance, and classroom behavior, and can even reduce anxiety and stress in children."

I have taught studio group classes, private in-home sessions, classroom sessions for educators, family yoga, instruction on Zoom as well as birthday parties!

Parents and educators find my classes teach body awareness, relaxation techniques, and stress management tools to a variety of learners!

My themed classes are a blend of creative movements and breathwork aimed to lower stress hormones, responses, decrease inflammation in the brain and body to teach children healthy coping skills when facing all the challenges and beauty life has to offer.
